Somebody Else’s Troubles
The Harrison, WC1H 8JF , [Venue Details]Somebody Else’s Troubles are a London-based trio who bring rich, rootsy songwriting to life with three guitars and a collection of “things with strings” — pedal steel, mandolin, and bouzouki among them.
Made up of James Baniecki, Ian Coles, and Charlie Graham, the band first came together through the Campfire Sessions at the Big Green Bookshop in north London, where their shared love of Americana, folk, and rock’n’roll found its natural chemistry.
Their sound draws on the heart of classic Americana — warm harmonies, twanging strings, and honest storytelling — but filters it through a distinctly British lens. Whether on their recent release Too Soon to Say or in intimate live settings, their music moves easily between foot-tapping country grooves and slow-burning, late-night ballads.
Expect a set that feels both familiar and fresh: songs with soul, played by three musicians who know how to let melody and space do the talking.
Somebody Else’s Troubles play The Harrison, King’s Cross this November — an evening of fine songwriting, acoustic warmth, and easy charm in one of London’s most inviting live rooms.
